subersive information

The hardest step of a journey is the first, and i will do the impossible. I will not buy into the hype. Yeah, Its everywhere, on t.v., on the book shelf, even in my burritos. The phantom menace is upon us, and i'm not talking about the movie, but the largest merchandising veichle ever. I feel just like Qui-Jonn and Old Ben, facing an hidden enemy that is abusing the force to do their bidding. Its not Darth Sidious who's running the show but George Lucas, invading our social culture. Yeah, star wars is an will always be a part of the american... err north american society. But when the hell did it become this big? I figure the average semi fan will spend 50 to a 100 dollars fueling this phantom menace. ($20 dollars for movies. 15 for soundtrack. 10 for books or comics. 40 for the game. 10 dollars for all the neat fast food toys. and not even for the regular toys. ) Its suspected over a 75% of the american nation will go see this flick, if even oh say 25% are semi average fans, thats a crapload of cash. Lucas Film is getting paid over 2 billion dollars for the advertising rights for pepsi, taco bell, kfc and pizza hut. The last he needs is my $100 dollars. So what I will do is not help the machine. I'm drawing a line in the sand and become an offical boycotter. I won't see the flick, buy a toy, eat honey bbq wings, or read the novel dramitization. Hopefully i can make a change.

Bored out

i give myself until the pay check after this one, i got to get my silent bob and jay action figures first.
